For LEADERS & TEAMS…
What is Somatic Therapy & why is it so helpful?
The word “Soma” in greek means body, Somatic Therapy is therefore an alternative therapeutic modality that focuses on body based practices. It works directly with our nervous system to create deep levels of self awareness & a feeling of safety within. Somatic practices engage the body through the “felt sense” which is our awareness of the emotions, physical sensations and feelings we are experiencing in the present moment.
This methodology is scientifically proven to get client results, as studies in neuroscience have shown that the body sends more information up to the brain than the brain sends down to the body.
Through the use of breath, sound, movement, imagery and touch, we are able to rewire our neural pathways which not only affects the way that we experience and think about the world but it also changes our entire way of being. Somatic Therapy works better at helping us to change unhelpful behavioral patterns than talk therapy as it goes straight to the root cause of any pain, tension or dis-ease stored in the physical body and resolves it. It also helps us to release deep seated emotional trauma and rewire any limiting beliefs or unpleasant narratives we are telling ourselves.
Somatic therapy is great for persons who experience body-aches, physical pain, anxiety or struggle with self trust and confidence. It is ideal for those of us who want to make lasting change in our lives and expand our capacity for personal & professional success.
Benefits of Somatic Therapy:
Emotional Intelligence & Regulation: Somatic therapy enhances self-awareness by helping individuals tune into their body’s signals, which increases their ability to recognize and regulate emotions effectively, even in high-stress environments or situations.
Leadership: By grounding in body-based practices, somatic therapy fosters resilience and confidence, empowering individuals to remain composed, authentic, and inspiring under pressure.
Making Better Decisions: Somatic awareness supports clearer thinking by reducing anxiety and stress, leading to more intuitive, balanced decision-making and reducing reactive responses.
Conflict Resolution: Somatic therapy teaches individuals to stay present and calm during conflicts, helping them approach disagreements with empathy and patience rather than defensiveness.
Effective Communication: Practicing body awareness improves communication by helping individuals express themselves more clearly, listen actively, and respond mindfully, creating a stronger foundation for trust and collaboration.
What’s the first step to Somatic Life Coaching?
Typically I ask potential clients to schedule themselves in for a free sixty minute discovery call. You will be directed to fill out a simple form before selecting a time on the calendar that works best for you. In our discovery call, I will walk you through my Elevated Leadership Methodology and the framework I use to help clients get results. We’ll discuss your main challenges as well as your desired outcome, and I’ll ask a few questions to ensure that coaching is a right fit for you.
For potential clients…
How long are your coaching sessions?
My coaching sessions are approximately fifty minutes in length.
Is there a particular structure or particular topics you cover in coaching?
I prefer to take a more organic approach to my coaching practice, this means there isn’t a set structure. Rather, I support my clients with whatever challenges or concerns they may be having at that particular time. However, the main focus of my somatic coaching containers are always around Leadership, Emotional Regulation & Intelligence, Conflict Resolution, Personal Development and Effective Communication.
What’s your coaching style like?
Typically during a coaching session, we bring awareness to the root cause of the challenges my clients are experiencing by creating a safe and non-judgmental space for them to speak freely, drop into their body and process their emotions. I usually ask deep and intriguing questions as well as reflect anything I’m noticing back to the client. I often take clients through Somatic Therapy Exercises, Parts Work, Visualisations, EFT Tapping, Inner Child Activations & Nervous System Regulation Practices. At the end of our session, I normally give my clients a tangible and strategic action step that needs to be completed before our next call. The work I do with clients is very body based & practical. Each coaching session is unique and tailored to suit the individual client’s needs in that particular session.
How many somatic coaching sessions does the average person need?
Everyone is different and experiences unique challenges throughout their life. This means that the level of support each person requires, during that particular phase in their life, differs. I usually recommend that clients come for at least six consecutive months because real change occurs over time, through consistency and a commitment to personal development.
What else do I need to know about Somatic Life Coaching?
Somatic Life Coaching is highly beneficial for anyone who is ready to dive deeper into self mastery. It does require a time commitment of at least two hours a week between the actual session and any homework I may recommend. It is also meant for individuals who are committed to their personal development journey and who want to feel fully supported during the process.

Somatic Life Coaching is for you if you want to radically step into a space of self mastery and become an emotionally intelligent leader.
